项目缘起
Origin of the Project
2021年扬州世界园艺博览会以“绿色城市、健康生活”为主题，由国家林业和草原局、中国花卉协会、江苏省人民政府共同主办，扬州市人民政府承办，地点设于仪征市。这是我国继2019年北京世园会之后举办的又一次世界园艺文化和园林科学的奥林匹克盛会，也是献礼建党100 周年华诞的一大盛事。长江都市受业主委托，为世园会设计一座国际馆，作为世园会五大核心景点之一，该馆在展会期间承担着国际园艺展示的功能，会后将转变为海岛探秘特色雨林馆来使用。
The 2021 Yangzhou World Horticultural Exposition, themed “Green City, Healthy Living,” was jointly organized by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, China Flower Association, and the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province, with the People’s Government of Yangzhou City as the host. The event took place in Yizheng City. Following the Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition in 2019, this was another grand event showcasing the cultural and scientific achievements in horticulture and garden design, and it was also a significant celebration commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. On behalf of the client, we designed an International Pavilion for the World Horticultural Exposition. As one of the five main attractions, the pavilion served as an international horticultural exhibition during the exposition and will be transformed into a Rainforest Pavilion with a distinctive island exploration theme after the exposition.

仪征地处长江下游，江水一路向东涌入博大的海洋，在此背景下，我们决定为世园会设计一座映射其江海底蕴的展馆，通过建筑空间、材料与技术的转译重构，使建筑与城市风土、人文情感融合共生。
Yizheng is located in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, where the river flows eastward into the vast ocean. Against this backdrop, we decided to design an exhibition pavilion for the World Horticultural Exposition that reflects the essence of the river and the sea. By translating and reconstructing the architectural space, materials, and technology, we aim to integrate the building with the local urban environment, cultural sentiments, and create a harmonious symbiosis.

现代性与在地性的平衡
The balance between modernity and locality
设计的主体立意源自长江中的“大熊猫”——江豚，通过模仿生物形态化的语言，将江海文化表现的淋漓尽致。总体布局遵循“虚实相生，内外一体”的思想，建筑造型喻意“江豚游弋”，是对地域与文化特征的概况提炼，以形表意，融于自然。外部景观设计中以海浪形态的铺装、飘摇水草形态的遮阴构筑、鱼形景观铺装及小品渲染烘托江海之恋的设计主题，最终呈现以江海文化为主要特色的整体景观风貌。表现出生态绿色，融入自然的整体形象，突显自然、人文、生态的主题。
The main concept of the design is inspired by the Yangtze River’s “giant panda” – the Yangtze finless porpoise. By using the language of biomimicry, the design showcases the essence of the river and sea culture. The overall layout follows the concept of “the interplay between the virtual and the real, the integration of the interior and exterior.” The architectural form symbolizes the “swimming of the finless porpoise,” representing the distilled essence of the region and its cultural characteristics, integrating with nature.The external landscape design features wave-shaped pavement, swaying aquatic plant structures for shading, fish-shaped landscape paving, and artistic elements that enhance the theme of the love between the river and the sea. The final result presents an overall landscape characterized by the river and sea culture. It embodies an ecological and green image, integrating harmoniously with nature, while highlighting the themes of nature, culture, and ecology.

我们将“江豚”的形体进行拓扑变形，并且为这座展馆设计了一层机具柔性的外壳，围合出一个有张有弛的展示空间。有着朦胧感的ETFE膜作为项目外围护的主要材料，记叙着如今仪征市高歌猛进的时代性；柔韧的造型，阳光照射下的漫反射光感不难让人联想到“江豚时出戏，惊波忽荡漾”的场景，现代性与在地性于此间寻求平衡，在城市文脉的彼此关照中成为可阅读、可识别的事物。
We have conducted topological deformation of the form of the “Yangtze finless porpoise” and designed a flexible outer shell for the exhibition pavilion, creating a space that is both tense and relaxed. The main material used for the project’s external enclosure is ETFE membrane, which provides a hazy atmosphere and reflects the contemporary development of Yizheng City. The flexible design, coupled with the diffused light under sunlight, evokes the scene of the porpoise playfully surfacing in the rippling waves. The balance between modernity and locality is sought in this design, and it becomes a readable and recognizable element within the urban context, where mutual considerations take place.

技术与艺术的融合
The fusion of technology and art
结构受力件与建筑赋形融合考虑，将美学趣味和建构观念的矛盾藏匿在了作品的建成效果中。展馆立面肌理与结构形式结合，形成交错的井字型框架，其间填充ETFE膜作为建筑的外围护。根据网壳结构的特点，表皮被划分成约16㎡/个的许多菱形单元，ETFE膜气枕单元和玻璃单元依建筑功能交错布置，立面上形成有趣的肌理变化。
The integration of structural elements and architectural form considers the fusion of aesthetic interests and conceptual construction, hiding the contradictions between them within the completed effect of the artwork. The texture of the exhibition pavilion’s facade is combined with its structural form, creating an interlocking zigzag framework filled with ETFE membrane as the building’s enclosure. Based on the characteristics of the grid shell structure, the skin is divided into numerous diamond-shaped units of approximately 16 square meters each. ETFE cushion units and glass units are arranged in an overlapping pattern according to the architectural functions, resulting in interesting texture variations on the facade.

室内环境的控制和优化
The control and optimization of the indoor environment
热带植物温室不同于常规的展览建筑，植物生长环境对光照度、温湿度等都有特殊的要求。在建筑顶部，我们设置了可开启的膜气枕单元，在炎热的季节，通过电动控制打开顶部气枕，有助于热空气的排出，改善室内空气质量。在空调设计中，针对大空间特点，空调末端采用岛式空调机组，展览厅的幕墙四周设立式暗装风机盘管，设置于地沟内，最大程度地保证了空间通透的效果和室内环境的舒适度。

The tropical plant greenhouse, unlike conventional exhibition buildings, has specific requirements for factors such as light intensity, temperature, and humidity due to the growth environment of the plants. At the top of the building, we have installed operable ETFE cushion units. During hot seasons, these units can be opened using electric controls to facilitate the release of hot air and improve indoor air quality.
In terms of air conditioning design, considering the characteristics of a large space, island-type air conditioning units are used at the ends. Concealed fan coil units are installed around the curtain wall of the exhibition hall, located in a trench, to maximize the transparency of the space and ensure the comfort of the indoor environment. These measures aim to create a controlled environment within the tropical plant greenhouse that meets the specific needs of the plants while providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors.
